Remote Data Capture

Unlike a lot of other data capture devices, ikeGPS natively captures data in multiple common file types. Every data point captured by ikeGPS is stored as a jpeg file (with the Exif header populated), a KML file (for easy Google Earth integration) and a simple CSV file. ikeGPS captures Shapefiles for ESRI ArcPad and ArcGIS Mobile applications and works seamlessly with the other major GIS back end systems.
That means no proprietary software, no additional cost and no hassle to import data and images into your back end system.

The hardware components within ikeGPS include best-in-class laser rangefinder and 3D compass technologies; sub-meter GPS, 5MP digital camera with 10x zoom and a Windows mobile computer wrapped in an IP67, mil-spec tough chassis. These components are seamlessly integrated by ikeGPS software - software that also provides measurement capability that no other device can deliver. No one else integrates a unit like ikeGPS.
Any comparable system would typically comprise two or three pieces of equipment and require two or three manual steps in the field to capture a point. This often means less accuracy because of the offset error between the rangefinder, camera and GPS, and less than half the mean time between failure, resulting in both higher up front and total cost of ownership.
